As soon as...Hello Marlow, Of course you are right. As soon as I pressed send on my previous comment, I thought about how George Galloway sounded during his recent debate with Christopher Hitchens in New York. Galloway is a Scotsman, has a keen ear for language and is a master at manipulating people. I once saw on TV a speech he gave inside a North London mosque. He spoke in warmongering terms as though he was thinking in Arabic and translating into pidgeon English.

I'm not the only one to notice how all dictators sound and act the same. Seems they have huge egos and an insatiable appetite for power, wealth, greed and adulation. I've read somewhere that whatever drives them and makes them so ruthless, boils down to something sexual.

There was a 'dogs behaving badly' programme on TV the other day which showed it is quite usual for male dogs to be castrated in order to stop them from being so domineering and violent. Now I understand why in the days of the Roman Empire there were so many Eunuchs ...Ingrid Joneshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04151912190486132492noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045359.post-92185431438821461982005-09-25T00:10:00.000+07:002005-09-25T00:10:00.000+07:00Thanks Ingrid, but no, no way...I was being ironic...Thanks Ingrid, but no, no way...I was being ironic...they know very well who they are talking to because they have made them that way...by keeping them in deep ignorance...that's what the quran as source of all wisdom is all about. Even some of those in the Khartoum regime who were educated in Britain, sound like they have a nasty streak towards Westerners. Maybe in Arabic they speak in the same way to anyone they have something against. I'm not sure what I am talking about here, but it is something I would be interested in learning about. If we sound just as alien to them, I wonder if there are ways to bridge such wide communication gaps.Ingrid Joneshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04151912190486132492noreply@blogger.com
