Schroeder’s out
As easily forecast earlier, Schroeder has given in; Angela Merkel will become Germany’s next chancellor. I hope she doesn’t have to pay to high a price for it. Clearly she will have to give up some ministries to the SPD, but I would hate to see Schroeder as Foreign Minister or some such arrangement.
