Georgia Says It Has Uncovered Russian-Planned Military Coup

Defense Minister David Sikharulidze said an "attempt at a military coup" had been uncovered and the commanders of the Mukhrovani military base had been dismissed and soldiers confined to barracks.
The Interior Ministry said one person had been arrested.
"It was aimed at disrupting the NATO military exercises and an attempt at a military coup," Sikharulidze told Georgian Rustavi 2 television.
The Interior Ministry said Russia was involved in the coup plot.
