Duct-tape solution

I was trying to find a way to insert a pic in my profile, but apparently it is more complicated than I thought without some web storage place, etc., etc.

This is what I came up with (if you see a photo in my profile it means it worked):

Write a new post or edit an old one, insert your photo, copy the link and insert it by editing “my profile”.

Any suggestions, comments, alternative solutions (simple) will be appreciated.
